Crispin Porter + Bogusky executive creative director Bob Winter is set to leave sunny Miami for Chicago-based VSA Partners. Winter will join VSA on May 1, according to a representative for VSA.
Winter will work with CP+B for a transition period while the firm looks for his successor, according to an agency representative. The rep declined to comment on how far along the search is but said the shop plans to land someone in the coming weeks.
Winter will become a partner and executive creative director at VSA, which has been working to evolve beyond design and brand work into a full-service advertising, digital and marketing firm. Clients include Kraft’s Crystal Light and Kool-Aid brands and Goose Island Beer Company.
Winter joined CP+B in November 2012 from Young & Rubicam and partnered with fellow ecd Alex Burnard to run a department of nearly 30. Burnard has also left CP+B and founded Sun & Sons, according to his LinkedIn profile. The rep confirmed Burnard's departure but declined to elaborate.
Winter has also served at DDB and Leo Burnett. He’s known as the creator of Bud Light’s “Real Men of Genius” campaign.
VSA has roughly 300 employees and additional offices in New York and Detroit.
