Crispin Porter + Bogusky has promoted Kevin Jones to the role of chief creative officer in its Los Angeles office, effective immediately.

Moving forward, Jones will assume creative leadership on PayPal, NBA 2K and Charles Schwab as well as CP+B's global campaigns for the Infiniti brand. The agency recently began moving the latter account from its Boulder headquarters to Los Angeles in order to "capitalize on L.A.'s rich automotive culture and be in closer proximity to the Infiniti Design Center teams," though domestic campaigns will still be produced in Colorado.

CP+B chairman Chuck Porter told Adweek, "Kevin's brilliant without being crazy or a prima donna, and he understands exactly what makes great work," adding, "We're currently attempting to clone him."'

Jones joined CP+B L.A. as executive creative director in December 2014, and since then, he has led creative development on such campaigns as "Be the Story" for NBA 2K, which starred director Spike Lee. He also led the pitch for the global PayPal account, which went to CP+B in June 2015.

Prior to joining CP+B, Jones spent the majority of his 20-plus year advertising career at Wieden + Kennedy Portland. While there, his work on the Chrysler Super Bowl campaigns starring Clint Eastwood and Eminem won back-to-back Emmy Awards. He also worked on award-winning campaigns for Coca-Cola, Dodge, Nike and T-Mobile. Jones is also an accomplished musician and writer with an MFA from the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas.

The promotion follows that of Robin Fitzgerald, who was named executive creative director last week. Fitzgerald led PayPal's "New Money" campaign for Super Bowl 50 along with Jones.
